Myavu will mark the first collaboration between Mamtha Mohandas and director Lal Jose. Myavu, the shooting of which right now is progressing in UAE, is frequently encountering the threat from the spread of covid. While giving interview to a leading media portal, heroine of the project, Mamtha Mohandas said that, she is so excited for working with Lal Jose. However, not many know that Lal Jose was inspired by Mamtha for one of his earlier projects.
The popular Lal Jose movie, which has taken the inspiration from the life of Mamtha, was Diamond Necklace. The Fahadh – Anusree – Samvritha Sunil – Gauthami Nair starrer, was one of the most critically acclaimed Malayalam movies released in the year 2012. The character of Samvritha Sunil, ‘Maya’ – who was diagnosed with cancer – was much appreciated for her attitude towards life. Incidentally, the inspiration for the character takes its roots from one of the interviews given by Mamtha back then. All excited about collaborating with Lal Jose for the first time, Mamtha said that Myavu would be a thought provoking film, with plenty of moments to laugh.
