1.70 grams of MDMA, Rs 76,000, Koduwal, chest, 7 different shaped knives, knife sharpener, iron pipe, five wooden sticks and airgun were also seized. Besides, a meth scale for measuring MDMA and envelopes for dispensing MDMA in small packets to the needy were also seized. Prior to this, there are cases against the accused in Tanur police station related to similar crimes.
The investigation was based on a tip-off received by the district police chief that drugs were being smuggled into Malappuram district. The investigation was conducted by the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) team and Tanur police under the leadership of Tanur SI.
