A young man died after falling under the ground at Attappadi base. The deceased was Sandeep (34), a resident of Parakkalam, Puducherry.
The young man got stuck in a trench where he had gone to bury a pipe for drinking water. Sandeep was brought out within half an hour but his life could not be saved.
Sandeep was immediately taken to the social health center in Agali after conducting a rescue operation by the police and locals. But by then he had lost his life.
