A man who masturbated in front of a girl on a Delhi Transport Corporation bus in the national capital was arrested.
The accused, caught by the officer on security duty, later cried and hanged himself.
Delhi Police said that he was not arrested as no one lodged a complaint. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
A man masturbated in front of a girl on a DTC bus in Delhi’s Rohini area on Tuesday. When the girl raised her voice, the bus security marshal arrived and arrested him.
A video of the accused crying after being arrested has gone viral on social media. He, a native of Bihar, was handed over to the police but the accused was released as he did not file a complaint with anyone.
But after the incident became widely known, the police approached the girl again. Police informed that the girl is not ready to give a statement or file a complaint. However, if anyone files a complaint, further action will be taken against the accused, the police said.
