Finally, here comes a proper mega budget film to help Malayalam film industry, which is still reeling under tremendous pressure created by an ongoing Covid crisis. The makers of ‘Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham’ have made a grand announcement today, that they have locked in the release date of the movie on 13th May. Though theatres across the state were open to releasing new films for a while now, the deplorable state of theatres, are a far cry from the pre – Covid times.
Starring Mohanlal in the lead role, this Priyadarshan directorial is arguably the most hyped Malayalam cinema of recent times. This pan Indian film features an ensemble cast of Manju Warrier, Pranav Mohanlal, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Arjun Sarja, Kalyani Priyadarshan and to name the rest. Movie has been produced by Antony Perumbavur under the banner of ‘Aashirvad Cinemas, while Dr. Roy CJ and Santhosh T Kuruvila are the co producers.
