Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for launching its third generation of Swift RS in India. Though the vehicle is yet to unveil the product, it has already started receiving bookings. The previous RS version of the Swift sported a 1.0 liter BoosterJet turbo petrol engine. The engine produced 100bhp at 5,500rpm, while a peak torque of 150Nm at 4,500rpm.
That said, Swift clocked an impressive 21.1kmpl of fuel efficiency. Now, into Swift RS, the engine is expected to have a 1.2 liter petrol and a 1.3 liter diesel variants. Industry insiders suggest that both variants will come with manual and automatic options.
