MediaTek has made an announcement regarding its new chipset, MT6381. The chipset reportedly will have the world’s first biosensor modules in smartphones. The first 6 in 1 biosensor module can read health reports such as ECG, blood oxygen level, heart rate and to name the rest. Using the sensor, the health data reports can be tracked using one’s smartphones.
Arguably a big leap in digital health monitoring world, the MediaTek MT6381 is capable of processing all these readings. The latest module from MediaTek supports I2C/SPI digital interface, while the total external BOM on the module comprises 4 caps and 2 electrodes.
