Chinese automobile company BASIC has come up with their latest model, BJ80 6X6 at the Auto China 2018 event. Interestingly, the model has been inspired by Mercedes AMG G63 6X6 in many aspects. BASIC, which is essentially the parent company to Beijing Benz, has been in the business of assembling and manufacturing Mercedes Benz models in China. In fact, BASIC Motor Corporation has successfully sold BJ80 model, which looks stunningly close to the G – Class.
Coming to the specifications, BJ80 6X6 sports a 2.3 liter turbocharged inline 4 engine. The engine churns out 250PS power. However, Mercedes AMG G63 6X6, on the other hand, comes with an AMG 5.5 liter V8 bi-turbo engine and touches the peak power – torque figures of 550PS and 760Nm respectively. BASIC has not unveiled the price details of BJ80 6X6.
