Mercedes has launched a face lifted Mercedes – Benz C Class petrol variant in India for a price of INR 43.46 lakh. Made available exclusively in the mid – spec Progressive trim level, the company has dubbed the variant as C200. Already available in two diesel engine options – C 220d and C 300d, the new petrol variant is powered by a 1.5 liter turbo – four engine. The engine churns out a maximum power of 280PS between 3,000rpm and 4,000rpm. Interestingly, the latest outing from Mercedes has got a 48V Belt – driven Starter Generator (BSG). This allows the vehicle to produce an additional power of 14PS and 160Nm of torque.
Clocking 100kmph in 7.7 seconds, Mercedes Benz C200 is capable of touching a top power of 239kmph. A total of nine speed automatic transmission is what powers the car.
