Mercedes Benz is all set to launch a facelift of its S Class, in India on 26th February. Incidentally, the car is the first luxury sedan to get BS VI emission complaint engine. Company officials claimed that the vehicle will also be able to run on BS IV fuel as well. The OM 656 diesel engine, is been manufactured, aiming the emission standards, which the country would be implementing from April 2020 onwards.
The Facelift would be replacing the current 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine. The newer motor is said to be capable of producing a power of 282bhp and the peak torque figure stands at 600Nm. The existing engine, on the other hand, churns out a power of 254bhp and comes with a peak torque figure of 620Nm.
