Microsoft has informed that the company would be going to replace its handgun emoji. The emoji would be replaced by a water pistol. The decision came on the wake of reflecting the company’s values, and the numerous feedbacks, which the company had received about the emoji. Well, with this Microsoft has joined the bandwagon of tech giants, who have replaced the ‘gun emoji’ with something simpler and harmless emojis. Earlier, Google, Apple, Samsung and Twitter have all revised their emojis.
The new ‘water pistol’ emoji of Microsoft, is a combination of simpler colors such as orange, yellow and green, with a dark outline. All eyes are into Facebook, which happens to be the only social media – tech giant, yet to switch to a harmless gun emoji.
