Paramekkav Devaswat has decided to prepare a mini pooram in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will arrive in Kerala. Prepare a mini pooram during Narendra Modi’s road show. Paramekkav Devaswom has sought security clearance for conducting mini pooram. If permission is granted, a mini pooram will be held in front of the Paramekkav temple. Fifteen elephants will be mobilized and a fair of around 200 people will be organized as part of the mini pooram. When the Pope arrived in Thrissur in 1986, a mini Pooram was presented to him. The ongoing dispute with the Cochin Devaswom Board regarding the floor rent of Pooram’s exhibition center will bring the Prime Minister to the attention of the Prime Minister.

At the same time, the crisis regarding floor rent has not gone away. The meeting called by the government the other day ended without a decision. Ministers K Radhakrishnan and K Rajan told the media that nothing can be done without asking the court because of the court’s intervention in the matter. TN Prathapan MP, who attended the meeting, said that the land should be given free of cost for holding the Pooram exhibition. Tiruvambadi President Sundar Menon also stated that if the increased amount is decided, he will take a tough stand. At the same time, Suresh Gopi said that it is unfair to collect ground rent for the exhibition organized by Paramekkau Tiruvampadi Devaswam to find funds for running Pooram and he said that rent should not be increased and rent should not be charged. The Devaswat has no authority to collect rent from the devotees for anything related to the Vadakunnatha Temple.
Instead of appreciating and supporting the Paramekkau Thiruvampadi Devaswams, which have played a major role in maintaining and enhancing the pride of Thrissur Pooram, the Devaswam is harming them. Paramekkav will face any move to break the Thrissur Pooram along with Thiruvambadi Desams and Pooram lovers.
