Ministry of Home Affairs Releases Guidelines for Opening of Religious Centres from June 8

Ministry of Home Affairs releases guidelines for opening of places of worship from June 8 Those over 65, those under 10 years of age, pregnant women and other ailments should stay at home. Devotees are not allowed to touch any idol or texts in the shrine. Prasadam and Tirtha should not be offered inside the shrine. The guidelines do not specify how many people can be accessed at the same time.

Key directions in the Guidelines released by the Center

∙ Do not open the shrine in the containment zone

∙ Only those who do not have Covid symptoms are allowed to enter the shrine.

∙ Do not admit people without masks.

∙ Do not admit people together.

∙ Those over 65 years of age, under 10 years of age, pregnant women and other ailments should stay at home.

∙ Do not allow devotees to touch the shrine or the sacred texts.

∙ Prasadam and theertham should not be offered inside the shrine.

∙ Bring your own mat for community prayer. Not a mat for everyone.

∙ The system should be configured to check the temperature at the entrance.

∙ Wash hands, feet and soap with water before entering the shrine.

∙ Footwear should be capable and should be kept in vehicles. If that is not possible, it must be kept separate. Members of a family can wear footwear together.

∙ The queue must be spaced six feet apart.

∙ Shrines should be washed and disinfected at regular intervals.

∙ If someone is sick at a place of worship, they must be moved into a room. Call your doctor and get checked. Once the Kovid is confirmed, the shrine must be disinfected.

Guidance on opening and operating shopping malls

The center also issued guidance for the opening of shopping malls. Do not open theaters or children’s entertainment centers. Thermal screening is mandatory in hotels and restaurants. Visitors must attest to travel information and health conditions. The central directive is to ensure that the luggage is cleaned only after disinfection.
