Veteran actor Indrans on Monday wrote to the Kerala Chalachithra Academy to relieve him from the board of directors. The actor made the request via email to the academy chairman Ranjith and secretary.
Indrans wrote, “Thank you for considering a person like me in an esteemed institution like the Chalachithra Academy. However, I, as an actor, is a part of several films. So when the cast and crew send their work for award, it is not morally right for me to be a part of the judging panel.”
“I don’t want their artwork to be rejected by chance because of me,” Indrans added in the e-mail.
