The accused Mukesh was given a seat in the filmmaking committee which had become a cause of criticism in a big way. The Chairman of the State Film Development Corporation is Shaji N Karun. Other members of this committee are actress Manju Warrier, Padmapriya, director B Unnikrishnan, tea connoisseur Rajeev Ravi, actress Nikila Vimal, producer Santhosh Kurila, C Ajoy and culture secretary Mini Antony.
