Sunni youth group state secretary Hamid Faizi Ambalakadavan’s statement that Muslims should not celebrate Christmas is controversial.
A picture of Muslim League state president Panakkad Sadikhali Thangal cutting the cake along with Clemice Bawa Thirumeni was released at the Christmas celebration held at KCBC headquarters.
After this, Sunni youth group state secretary Hamid Faizi came to Ambalakada demanding that Muslims should not celebrate Christmas.
In a Facebook post, Hamid Faizi asks how a Muslim can participate in Christmas celebrations and worships where Jesus Christ is seen as the Son of God.
Islam enjoins friendship and tolerance towards people of other religions. But Hameed Faizi explains that Islam does not allow them to participate in their worships and celebrations.
Hamid Faizi says that we should be careful against the spread of rituals, celebrations and worship like Christmas star, Christmas tree, Santa Claus, grass hut, Christmas cake cutting to the Muslim community.
Hameed Faizi, quoting Karmashastra texts, says that participation in some worships of other religions is wrong, and participation in others is a departure from Islam.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of criticism on social media against Hamid Faizi’s words. Most of the criticism comes from Muslim believers.
Full version of Hamid Faizi’s controversial post-
People of other religions were killed.
When I reached the mosque today and started reciting Al-Kahf, verses 4 and 5 stuck in my mind. Allah revealed this scripture to His servant also to warn those who claim that Allah has accepted the Son. They have no idea about it. Neither had their ancestors. What comes out of their mouths is serious word vomit. They are just telling lies.’
How can a Muslim who recites this every Friday participate in the Christmas celebration and worship that sees Jesus Christ as the Son of God?
Islam enjoins friendship and tolerance towards people of other religions. If a goat is slaughtered at home, the followers of the Prophet were instructed to give it to the neighbor Jew first. The law requires that the Islamic state give all rights to non-Muslims. Islamic history bears witness to this.
But Islam does not allow to participate in their worships and celebrations. This is because monotheism is the basic belief in Islam. Participating in some worships of non-believers is wrong, while in others it is a departure from Islam. This has been described in detail and rigorously in the Karma Shastra texts.
In 2015, when the lamp lighting controversy broke out, the Samasta Kerala Jamiatul Ulama issued a categorical statement. According to it.
Samasta Kerala Jamiatul Ulema President Anakara C. Koyakutty Muslyar and General Secretary Cherussery Sainuddin Muslyar said that Islam does not allow accepting the special practice of another religion. Lighting the lamp is a special ritual of the Hindu sect. Accepting it is not permissible for Islamic believers.’ [സുപ്രഭാതം 27–8–15 ]
In 2003, when a Muslim minister visited the Srinkeri Math with tilak on his forehead, the Sunni youth group headed by Samasta Vice President Panakkad Syed Umarali Shihab Thangal took a strict stand.
Christmas star, Christmas tree. The customs, celebrations and worship of Santa Claus, grass hut, Christmas cake cutting etc. are spreading to our society. Let us be very careful.
Holy Prophet [സ്വ] Said. ‘ Verily, you will imitate the practices of your predecessors in the same way, step by step and step by step. The companion heard this and asked. Did they mean Jews and Christians? Nabi Thangal [സ്വ] Said, who else but them?’ [ ബുഖാരി, മുസ് ലിം ]
We should learn from this foresight of the Prophet (PBUH) about the future degradation of Muslims.
