Bharat Biotech has released the cost of the nasal covid vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech. The cost of the vaccine in private hospitals is Rs 800, excluding tax. Those who need to get the vaccine can book slots on the Kovin portal. The vaccine will be released in the last week of January. As more of the vaccine is produced, it will be available at Rs 325 per dose.
Those over 18 years of age who have received CowieShield and Covaccine can receive the nasal vaccine as a booster dose. The vaccine will be known as Incovac (BBV154). Limited use of the vaccine in emergency situations was approved last November.
Bharat Biotech developed the nasal vaccine in collaboration with Washington University School of Medicine. Bharat Biotech’s Covaccin, Serum Institute’s CoviShield, CovoVax, Russian vaccine Sputnik V and Biological E’s Corbevax are currently available on the Covin portal.
