Hitting with its second variant of the new generation motorcycle in India, Triumph Motorcycles India launched the new Street Triple R. The bike, which comes with a price tag of INR 10.55 lakh, keeps an unchanged design from its existing S version. However, the new RS trim is much sportier in terms of the bar-end mirrors and a rear seat cowl. Triumph also offers two colour varaiants – silver and black.
Into the engine specifications, the Street Triple RS special has got a 765cc, inline-three engine. The engine is capable of delivering 123PS at 11,700rpm and produces a torque of 77Nm at 10,800rpm. The six speed transmission of the model is clubbed with the features of bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire etc. Markedly, the bike has got five riding modes – rain, sport, race, rider and track, besides that of four level traction control – road, rain, track and off.
Sporting a top class fully adjustable suspension setup, the model weighs 166kg, and in terms provides a perfect grip and lightweight alloys and that of sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The new model has got a seat height of 825mm, while you can spot a fully digital instrument cluster, which is a 5-inch full-colour TFT screen.
