Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader O Rajagopal said that no one can defeat Shashi Tharoor, the current MP from Thiruvananthapuram.
He said that Shashi Tharoor has influenced the people of Thiruvananthapuram. O Rajagopal’s remarks were made at a function attended by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Shashi Tharoor.
Tharoor was given the award named after late journalist N. Ramachandran by D.K. Rajagopal was giving a speech at the Sivakumar award ceremony.
“The world acknowledges the glory of Palakkad Shashi Tharoor. I was skeptical the moment he decided to contest here in Thiruvananthapuram.
He is the most qualified to represent India in the United Nations. No doubt about that. Speaks well in good English. Then I asked what was the reason for coming to Thiruvananthapuram and contesting.

But surprisingly, he has managed to influence the minds of the people of Thiruvananthapuram. That is why he wins again and again in Thiruvananthapuram.
I doubt if anyone else will get a chance in the near future. Anyway, I am proud that the people of Palakkad contributed such a person. This is a matter of pride not only for the people of Palakkad but for all the Malayalis.
Anyway, long live him. May his service be more available. I pray that God bless him,” said Rajagopal.
Tharoor responded by touching the feet of Rajagopal who returned to his seat after the speech.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor MP had earlier said that even if Narendra Modi comes and contests in Thiruvananthapuram, he cannot be defeated.
If people have enough they can decide to change. Shashi Tharoor had also said that this will be the last contest for the Lok Sabha.
Ready to compete in Thiruvananthapuram. But Shashi Tharoor had said that the final decision should be taken by the party.
