Seoul (South Korea) : Putting an end to the rumors, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, 36, after participating in a public meeting, fired on the sidelines of the South Korean border. South Korea also retaliated. There was no injury on either side.
It is the first time since November 2017 that the Korean border has been fired. Following the peace talks, the number of guard posts has been reduced since September 2018. It is estimated that North Korea fired the fog and not a serious provocation.
Experts think this is Kim’s political shot to convince her that power is not tarnished. The aim is also to boost the morale of the soldiers. North Korea has not responded to South Korea’s message of avoiding provocation. Meanwhile, South Korea has dismissed speculation that Kim may have undergone surgery.
