Prominent theatre and film artist Kainakari Thankaraj passed away on Sunday in Kollam. He was 76. He breathed his last at his home in Velamkonam in Keralapuram. The actor was undergoing treatment for liver-related problems for a long time. The funeral will be held at 9 am on Monday.
Thankaraj acted in over 35 films. The characters in Ee Ma Yau, Amen and Home were highly acclaimed. He first acted in Anappachan starring Prem Nazir.
He last worked in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s upcoming movie ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ starring Mammootty.
