CBSE Chairman RK Chaturvedi informed that, the fee charged by CBSE schools would be on par with that of their counterparts in state govt. He stated that CBSE rules mandate its members to regulate fee of according to various norms, such as infrastructure, quality of staff etc. The CBSE head also added that the board is seriously discussing implementing new norms for accreditation, which would be evaluated by a third party.
RK Chaturvedi’s announcement came on the wake of CBSE schools in Gujarat approaching Gujarat HC, against state govt. regulating their fee.
