Kochi: With the chief secretary meeting held today, the government has decided to file a criminal case against the builders of the flats and rehabilitate those who have lost their houses. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting. The new officer was in charge of the demolition of the flat.

The chief secretary informed the government that the process should be completed within three months. Notify the Supreme Court of the demolition plan. The cabinet has also decided to charge the manufacturers with compensation from the manufacturers.

Fort Kochi Sub-Collector Snehil Kumar Singh has been handed over the responsibility of the Marad Municipality to demolish the flat. The government has also announced that the demolition process should be completed in a timely manner. The municipality is first taking steps to disconnect the power and gas connections in the flats as part of demolition work.

The municipality wrote to KSEB and the oil companies in this regard. Earlier, the High Court rejected the petition filed by the residents alleging that the notice of the municipality was not legitimate. The municipality is moving towards the demolition. The Supreme Court has ruled that the demolition of a flat in the timber is a lesson for violators and should not be considered by any other court.

Two residents of Holy Faith Apartment and Golden Lake have filed a petition in the High Court against the eviction notice. But the High Court had asked the owners whether they were unaware of the Supreme Court order.
Residents, meanwhile, say they will not leave the flat no matter what happens. The owners of the flat have decided not to get out of the flat despite the protests and the denial of electricity and gas.
