New Delhi: The accused Dr. Shahna who was arrested in the incident of PG student Dr. Shahna’s suicide. BJP state president K. Surendran has accused EA Ruwais of being an SFI member.
Dr. Shahna, a PG student in the medical college surgery department, was arrested by the police. K Surendran alleges that EA Ruwais is an SFI man who has taken an anti-dowry pledge. Surendran also demanded that the government and SFI reply on the issue.
“One of the most shocking things is that the man behind it is an SFI man. He is an activist of the Left Union, i.e. Student Union. He himself has taken an anti-dowry pledge.
Then this government, CPM and SFI have to answer this. It is clear from this that all these things they say and take oaths are to deceive people.” Surendran said.
According to the family members, Shahna committed suicide after the groom’s family demanded a large amount of dowry. Shahna was in mental distress due to the fact that the marriage did not take place. Shahna died after injecting anesthesia medicine at her residence on Monday.
Today, the police recorded the arrest of Dr. Ruwais, a friend who was in custody in connection with Dr. Shahna’s suicide. The police revealed that the circumstantial evidence in the case is against Dr. Ruwais.
Ruwais will be produced in court this evening. Dr. Ruwais was suspended after the police registered his arrest.
