The government has issued an order restricting the bursting of firecrackers to 8 pm to 10 pm during Diwali celebrations. Meanwhile, Christmas and New Year to be celebrated between 11.55 pm to 12.30 am. The decision comes as part of controlling air pollution.
The government has taken the decision is based on the order of the Green Tribunal. Only green crackers should be used in celebrations.
The Home Department has issued an order directing the District Collectors and District Police Chiefs to ensure that only green firecrackers are sold in the state.
