The prime accused in the case of the murder of Othayi Manaf – Malangadan Shafeeq was caught by the police. Shafeeq, who is also a close relative to MLA, has been missing for the past 24 years. Hiding overseas for all these years, police had managed to get information that Shafeeq was trying to get back to his native place.
Earlier, in the year 2018 the court expressed unhappiness over the progress of the investigation.
