Parukutiamma visited Sabarimala for the first time at the age of 100. Parukutiamma came to see Ayyappan for the first time at the age of 100 at Pariyaruthottam, Munnanakuzhi, Wayanad.
He first stepped on Sabarimala with members of his three generations. Parukutiamma came to Sannidhanam with her grandson Girish Kumar and grandson’s children Amritesh, Anvita and Avantika.
Parukutiamma reached Pampa with a group of 14 members who returned from Munnanakuzhi on December 2. The group reached Pampa at three o’clock and after rest reached Sannidhanam on four o’clock in the morning.
‘I wanted to go early. But it was not possible. He decided that he would go to Sabarimala only at the age of 100.
So now reached Sabarimala. Many people helped along the way. God will save them too’- said Parukutiamma with tears in her eyes.
Even though she was born in 1923, Parukutiamma’s wish to step on stool is coming true now. Girish decided to fulfill her wish as soon as her grandmother made her wish.
Girish has been visiting Sabarimala during the Mandal period for the past 7 years.
