The petrol – diesel prices in the country was hiked for a second consecutive day. A 60 paisa increase came into effect today, with a cumulative increase of Rs. 1.2 within two days. It was yesterday, which the price of both were increased, marking a hike after 83 days. During the past couple of months, since the country was under complete lockdown, the price wasn’t changed by the companies.
Despite the international rate for oil slumping to all time record during the time, public haven’t managed to grab a bite of it, as the central government has increased the excise tax of oil. It is assumed that the price of both petrol and diesel would continue increasing in the coming days. Rate in Kerala is as follows,
