The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has invited applications from eligible candidates for applying to the Ph.D and MS (Research) programmes. The notification is meant for admitting candidates for the July 2018 session. Candidates, who have graduated in the following courses B.E/B.Tech/B.S (4 years), can apply for the programme. Candidates can apply under regular/part time/external schemes.
Along with MHRD’s Half Time Research Assistantship (HTR) fellowship, a number of funding agencies would give scholarships for qualified candidates. Upon selected, candidates would be required to spend at least 8 hours of time per week, in the Departments. Candidates selected for Ph.D and possessing a valid GATE/NET scorecard, would receive INR 25,000 per month, for the first two years. Upon the next three years, they will be given INR 28,000 plus HTRA. Applications are to be submitted online. Last date for applying, is March 31. For more details, visit http://research.iitm.ac.in/.
