The link for applying to the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme has been activated. The scheme, which is intended for B.Tech students in the country’s premier technical institutes, will be open for applying till March 31st. Successful candidates elected for the scholarship, would be awarded a onetime grant of INR 2 lakh. Besides, candidates will also receive a scholarship amount of INR 70,000 – 80,000, every month, as well.
The ambitious scheme launched this year, aims to promote the brightest minds in the country to stay and pursue research in the country itself. Selected candidates can get direct admission to Ph.D Courses offered by IITs and IISC. The scholarship mandates that applicants would be required to score a CGPA of 8.0.
