Kozhikode: Manager in custody for organizing Ganapati Homam in school building.
Homam was organized at Nedumannur School in Kayakodi Panchayat, Kozhikode on Tuesday night.
The management organized the pooja on the occasion of the completion of the new building of the school.
Different pujas were performed at two different places. It is reported that a pooja is in the headmaster's office room.
The homam had to be abandoned mid-way as local CPIM workers protested.
Later, the police took the school manager into custody. The manager was arrested and released.
Meanwhile, school headmaster Sajitha told the media that she did not know anything about the incident.
Meanwhile, DYFI and SF workers will organize a protest march to the school today. It was decided to march at 9 am.
