On the wake of an increased number of Covid cases through transmission, Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan has announced a complete lockdown in Ponnani tomorrow. While speaking of the condition in Ponnani, speaker maintained that what happened in Poonthura should be avoided at any cost. Sreeramakrishnan, who represents Ponnani Constituency, added that if didn’t control, instances like ‘Super Spread’ would take place in the region.
For the past some days, the Ministry is eagerly looking at the progresses taking place in Thiruvananthapuram, Ponnani, and Ernakulam regions. In view of the possible cluster spread happening, all these regions are now under tight controlling measures. While lockdown has been initiated in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam, Section 144 has been installed in Ponnani.
