Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is all scheduled to release in theatres on September 30. The audience and fans are waiting to witness the historic drama.
In a press conference held in Chennai on Saturday, director Mani Ratnam spoke about the plan for the sequel which will be part 2 of the film. Speaking to the media, he reportedly stated that the second part of the movie will be released within the next 9 months.
‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ is a fictional historic drama that focuses on the Chola dynasty. The movie stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Raai in the lead roles.
Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Nasser, Kishore, Rahman, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sobhita Dhulipala have all played supporting and important roles in the film.
The film will be released in five different languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada.
