Superstar Mohanlal starring mega project ‘Odiyan’ is all set to grace theatres tomorrow. Well, the movie has already managed to amass quite a lot of buzz, owing to the stellar cast members and its huge budget. Touted to be the costliest project made in Malayalam cinema, ‘Odiyan’ has now created a record, which Malayalam cinema can now be proud of. As was informed by director VA Shrikumar, this fantasy thriller has created a pre release business of over INR 100 Cr.
The volume has enabled ‘Odiyan’ to be only third movie from South India, to cross INR 100 Cr pre release business – with the two other being ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘2.0’. However, if we consider Bollywood movies too, then ‘Odiyan’ is the 11th movie in Indian cinema to achieve a pre release business figure of INR 100. All set to create box office history by releasing in more than 3,500 screens across the world, ‘Odiyan’ features Prakash Raj, Manju Warrier and a number of celebrated faces in Indian cinema.
