In a surprise moment Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Leh, the capital of Lakdakh just while ago. Prime Minister arrived unexpectedly without any advance announcement. Prime Minister’s visit is to assess the security situation after the border clashes with Chinese troops on June 15. From Leh PM Modi travelled to Nimu one of the forward locations in Ladakh which is located at around 11,000 feet,this is among one of the tough terrains in the border, surrounded by Zanskar range and on the banks of the Indus.
Prime minister Modi interacted with personnel of Army, Air Force & ITB in Nimu. According to government sources, the visit is aimed at boosting the morale of the Indian soldiers at the Indo – China border. Chief Defense Staff Bipin Rawat and Army Chief MM Naravan are accompanying the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister’s surprise visit came after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh dropped off his visit to Ladakh yesterday.
