Prithviraj Sukumaran is one of the most admired actors of the new generation. He is not only an actor, but also a director and a singer. The actor has established himself as one the leading actors in the film industry.

Prithviraj made his directorial debut in 2019 with Lucifer which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever. Lucifer was the first Malayalam film to reach the 200 crore club.
Now the actor in a recent interview, confirmed that the Mohanlal starrer Empuraan, a sequel to the 2019-released blockbuster Lucifer, will start rolling by the beginning of 2023, which will be Prithviraj’s second directorial. He also revealed that the script of the film is locked, and the sequel is going to be made on a bigger canvas compared to Lucifer. Mohanlal essayed the role of Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Ab’raam.

Currently, Prithviraj is busy shooting of his ambitious project Aadujeevitham. Soon after he wraps up with this project, Prithviraj is likely to kickstart the pre-production works of Empuraan. Along with Mohanlal, director Prithviraj Sukumaran will reprise his character Zayed Masood from the first installment, in Empuraan.

‘Empuraan’ will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
