Scriptwriter of Shaji Kailas – Prithviraj project ‘Kaduva’ has come forward with his explanation of the copyright issue that has popped up with SG 250. The latter project, which has been officially announced as the 250th project of superstar Suresh Gopi, met with an unprecedented response from media spaces. However, soon then, controversies started raising from the corners, as Ernakulam Magistrate has pronounced an order, which restricted several commercial aspects of SG 250, which has been penned by Mathews, who will also direct the project.
Jinu Abraham had approached the court, over the similarities of the script of SG 250, with that of his project ‘Kaduva’. Jinu said that the central characters of both the projects, carry a similar name. When SG 250 got announced and marketed the project with the character name, ‘Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan’, it created a tense in the ‘Kaduva’ camp.
Jinu issued a lawsuit in order to convince Shaji Kailas – Prithviraj duo, about the authenticity of his script. Jinu also said that Mathews had worked as his assistant, while he was penning the script of ‘Kaduva’. However, with Mathews announcing ‘SG 250’, which carries striking resemblance with that of ‘Kaduva’, Jinu Abraham decided to move with the lawsuit. He however said that, if ‘SG 250’ is different from ‘Kaduva’, then he has no issues with the Suresh Gopi project. In due course, Jinu maintained tha this script was completely copyrighted.
