Actor Puneeth Rajkumar received an honorary doctorate posthumously at the 102 convocation of University of Mysore today. His wife Ashwini received the doctorate.
On March 13, Vice Chancellor of University of Mysore, Prof G Hemanth Kumar, had announced that late actor Puneeth Rajkumar will be honoured with a doctorate posthumously for his contribution in the field of cinema and for his philanthropic works.
Earlier, his father and Kannada thespian Rajkumar also had received an honorary doctorate from the same university.
Meanwhile, the actor’s last film James got released on March 17 on his birth anniversary and set a new record for the fastest Kannada movie to cross 100 crore mark within a few days of release.
