Kochi: Youths got into a fight saying that the ganja they bought was not good.
Anas and Abutahir, natives of Mannarkat, Atuldev and Rahul, natives of Haripad, were arrested. Two kilos of ganja and MDMA were seized from them.
The other three accused had earlier sold two kilos of ganja to the arrested Atuldev. The cannabis was bought in connection with the New Year celebrations.
But there was a dispute between them over the quality of this ganja. Atuldev then demanded that the ganja be taken back. After that, those who sold the ganja bought it back.
But financial transactions were not completed. The four accused met at Konthuruthi in Kochi to discuss this.
After talking, the words went to arguments and beatings.
Seeing the four youths fighting each other, the locals gathered. Then the police were called.
Later, the police recovered MDMA from the accused. Two kilos of ganja stored earlier were also seized. One more person involved in the drug gang has been arrested.
