Amid the financial crisis in Kerala, the Public Works Department has sanctioned Rs 25.50 lakh for the construction of a passenger lift at the Cliff House. The order was issued by additional secretary Latha Kumari.
The fund has been allocated as per the estimate given by the Chief Engineer of Public Works Department.
The order comes at a time when Kerala is reeling under severe financial crisis and the Finance Department had asked to cut the costs.
Rs 42.90 lakh was sanctioned on June 22 for the construction of a wall and a stable at the Cliff House.
