KSRTC also limits online payment in running buses. Inconsistencies with the accounting system also set back the project. It was decided to accept the ticket money by scanning the QR code inside the bus. The current practice is that the revenue from each bus is paid to the conductor depots at the end of duty.
It will be included in the conductor’s account while receiving the payment online. For this it was decided to receive the money into a centralized account and inform the conductor about the receipt of the amount. But how to communicate the information became a challenge. If the conductor needs to be changed just before the departure of the bus, the mobile number provided online will also have to be changed. There are also incidents of fraud due to irregularity in the QR code. Phonepay system will be ready only after solving such problems.
