Mumbai: Rahul Dravid will continue as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. Dravid’s earlier contract as the coach of the Indian team had ended with the 2023 World Cup. The contract was extended by the BCCI.

Apart from Dravid, the BCCI also extended the contract of the support staff. Meanwhile, the BCCI has not specifically mentioned Dravid’s tenure in the new contract. But BCCI sources indicate that he will continue till the Twenty-20 World Cup in June 2024.
Dravid’s first match after his contract extension will be the tour of South Africa. VVS Laxman is currently coaching the Indian team which is in the Twenty20 series with Australia.
