Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader Cherian Philip has said that Youth Congress President Rahul Mangootli may become the Chief Minister of Kerala in the future if the CPI(M) administration traps him in a false case and brutally hunts him down.
Cherian Philip said that those who have been subjected to brutal attacks by CPI(M) have become Chief Ministers.

Thirty-five years ago, when the CPIM was in power in Bengal, the then Youth Congress president Mamata Banerjee, who was a victim of brutal police manhunts and gang attacks, later became the Chief Minister of Bengal.
In 1967, during the CPIM regime, the then Youth Congress President AK Antony and KSU President Oommen Chandy, who were attacked by the police, became the Chief Ministers of Kerala.
Cherian Philip also said that CPIM in Kerala is moving towards the dustbin of history like in Bengal.
