“If you twist the story of Komaram Bhim and make a film and question the feelings of the Adivasis, we will beat you with a stick”. The BJP leader has threatened Brahmanda director Rajamouli. Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar have come out against Rajamouli’s new film RRR.
The film tells the story of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, freedom fighters of the 1920s. The BJP leader was angered by the sight of a giant Muslim wearing a hat. The role is played by Junior NTR. The teaser also shows a Muslim wearing a hat. “Komaram Bhim is wearing a hat. Did you think we would accept this? Never”, ‘said Bandi Sajjay at a public event. He also demanded that the scene to get removed. This was followed by threats of assault and burning of the theatre.
RRR is a cosmic film directed by Rajamouli after Bahubali. (Roudram Ranam Rudiram.) The film is being made for Rs 450 crore. The film tells the story of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bhim, freedom fighters of the 1920s.
When Ram Charan acts as Alluri Sitarama Raju, Junior NTR act as Komaram Bhim. Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan will play the lead roles in the film. This is their first South Indian film.
