The shooting of the big budget film Ramayanam directed by Nitish Tiwari has started. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Ram and Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita. Reports say that Oscar winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are composing the music for the film. The pictures of Ranbir and Sai Pallavi on location have gone viral on social media recently, and at the same time hate campaign is going on against them from extreme Hindutva pages. During the promotions of the movie Brahmastra, Ranbir had said that he eats a lot of red meat (beef mutton). This infuriated the Hindu extremists. The hatred against Sai Pallavi is due to his public expression of his respect for Tamils and South India.
Extremist Hindutva pages are full of similar posts against both of them. It's all trolls saying that Rama in the new Ramayana is a beef eater and Sita is anti-Hindu. The post also shared a photo of Ranbir smoking at a party and Sai Pallavi wearing a burqa to watch her film Shyam Singha Roy with her fans. There is a huge protest on social media against pages that run such hate campaigns against actors who do not agree with their ideas. The pages Scoop Coop Hindi and Scoop Coop Bharat are fronting this hate camp.
