New Delhi: CPIM National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury will not participate in the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration ceremony.
Don’t use religion for political gain. Hence Sitaram Yechury said that he will not attend the function.
Yechury also said that CPIM’s policy is to respect religious beliefs and protect the right of every individual to follow their faith.
Yechury also said that turning a religious event into a state sponsored event is unacceptable.
The constitution states that the state should have no religious affiliation. Yechury also stated that the Supreme Court has repeatedly said this.
Yechury also responded to VHP National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal who criticized him for not attending the Ram Temple inauguration.
Yechury said whether to participate in the Ayodhya Ram temple inauguration or not is a personal matter.
