As Kerala government has lifted the restrictions on the conductance of second shows, the stage has been set for more wide releases in Kerala. With this, theatres across the state can now have a showtime till 12 AM. Megastar – Manju Warrier starrer ‘The Priest’ will be the first major release in Malayalam after a long time. Makers have taken social media spaces to announce that the film would hit big screens on this Thursday, March 11th. Already subject to multiple release postponements, release of ‘The Priest’ is surely going to be a shot in the arm for theatres across the state.

Earlier, the teasers of the film suggested that ‘The Priest’ would have some spectacular visuals and would rightly fit under the category of a thriller film. The film also marks the first collaboration between Mammootty and Manju Warrier – a major selling point for the film amongst the family audience. Under the direction of Jofin T Chacko, ‘The Priest’ has been jointly produced by Anto Joseph, Unnikrishnan B, and VN Babu.
