In the police report submitted to the court, it is said that Rohit was not a Dalit and Rohit committed suicide due to the fear that his true caste would be revealed.
Rohit studied at Hyderabad Central University. Rohit studied in Dalit Kota here. But student unions including ABVP have already alleged that Rohit is not a real Dalit and fake certificate was used for this purpose. A police report has now been submitted to confirm this.

Rahul Gandhi said that he came to Rohit because he was a Dalit.
