Teachers of Kalpetta Sarvajana School seeking advance bail Teachers have filed bail pleas before the High Court. Teachers Shijil and K.K. Mohanan approached the HC. The case comes after the teachers refused to take the snake bite to the hospital.
The investigation team, led by ASP Vaibhav Saxena, took the statements of the school teachers. The statements of teachers who ministered to Shahla when she was bitten by a snake and accompanied her to the hospital. Shahla’s classmates have demanded action against the guilty teachers.
Earlier, the police had lodged a case in which the student was found dead due to lack of teachers. The head teacher of the school, K.K. Mohanan, Principal A.K. The accused in the case are Karunakaran and Dr. Lisa Merin Joy of Taluk Hospital. Teacher Shijil is the first accused. The headmaster and principal of the school were suspended from work.
