As part of global promotion, Megastar Mammootty’s upcoming CBI 5: The Brain’s promo trailer was lit up on Friday evening, in the magnificent Burj Khalifa, Dubai. Earlier, the actor’s son Dulquer Salmaan’s film ‘Kurup’ was the first Malayalam film to lit on the world’s largest building.
Mammootty, along with his co-actors Ramesh Pisharody and Renji Panicker, arrived to witness the fascinating sight first-hand. The film will hit the theatres on May 1.
The film is the fifth installment of Mammootty’s iconic character CBI officer, Sethurama Iyer. The CBI series is one of the most popular crime investigation films in Malayalam. The anticipation to watch the veteran crime buster at work has only increased among audiences.
The same trio, comprising scenarist SN Swamy, director K Madhu and thespian Mammootty, have headlined all films of the series.
In CBI 5:The Brain, Sethurama Iyer joins hands with his old comrades-in-arms Chacko and Vikram, played by Mukesh and Jagathy Sreekumar respectively. Renji Panicker, Suresh Kumar, Dileesh Pothan, Anoop Menon, Soubin Shahir, Asha Sharath and Kaniha are some of the actors in the star-studded cast.
